so many questions

hello, a little about me, here goes.

After hours of tests they (the health care providers) decided I scored too high in some areas and too low in others. I was recently informed (by accident) so to speak. Given a copy of test results mentioning I was/am diagnosed with OCPD, this was the first I'd heard, so was taken by surprise, kind of.
The end result was they found I was too smart (to not of graduated) and too slow (to be able to live alone). Well I didn't and I do, so I feel they must be missing something.
Anyway long story short, while researching OCPD I kept stumbling upon Asperger's syndrome and the more I read the more I saw myself.
Just read this over and wonder if it makes sense, I struggle with misunderstandings. My hope is that maybe I can glean some more pieces of the puzzle.

So they weren't looking for an autism diagnosis? Certainly AS people's rigidities, repetitive and special interests can look a lot like OCD.
I wonder if it would be worse having further assessment by someone specialized in ASD. I guess that would depend on whether you could afford it or could have it covered, whether it would help you access services, and so on.

In any case, I hope you find your answers!
