What are some shows or movies you have watched that you feel like you should hate, but secretly love? How about some shows/movies that you are curious about watching, but have never tried because you're afraid that your friends and family will make fun of you for it?

I want to watch Glee and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but I am worried about being made fun of by my family members, particularly my brother.

Maury is my guilty pleasure and I hide this from my parents because most of them are about cheating and paternity tests.

I'm kind of embaressed about loving this movie called Mini's First Time. My Mom accused the movie of being softcore porn and I even made the mistake of letting my 13 year old sister watch it once. But I can't help but love this movie, the plot is so deliciously amoral and trashy and I love how the main character is a complete whore and a sociopath who plays all the adults in her life like puppets and manages to get away with murder in the end.

Another slightly guilty pleasure is this show called Deadly Women that comes on Investigation Discovery. I don't normally like crime shows, but this show catches my attention because it's about female killers and some of these women have done things that are very hard to believe. Of course some of the acting in the dramatizations is pretty bad (I saw a victim who was supposed to be dead move his throat), and a few times the people commenting on the crimes contradict themselves. But I still love the originality of this show.

My Little Pony is awesome!
Why would you worry about being made fun of though? It's not as though your family needs to know which shows you watch. I'm fairly sure all of the episodes are on YouTube, and in HD too. Just watch them whenever you get the alone time. Just be ready to close the window if anyone barges in unexpectedly. :)

Your description of Mini's First Time sounds like a movie my brother and I like to watch. It's called Pervert! It's about a college boy who comes to stay with his farmer dad and his live-in girlfriend. But every hot girl the boy meets winds up getting killed. It's cheesy, nonsensical (the surprise twist must be seen to be believed) and is most definitely softcore porn. But it's also really hilarious.

Yeah Mini's First Time is kind of like that. It's about a high school girl named Mini who decides one day she wants to get a job as a prostitute just to see what it's like, and one of her clients ends up being her own stepdad. They form a torrid affair behind her clueless alchoholic mother's back and decide to get rid of her by driving her crazy, but somehow their plan escalates to murder. When a suspicous detective starts investigating them they start to turn on each other, and basically in the end Mini tricks her stepfather into taking the blame for the crime while she graduates from high school as a valedictorian despite being a straight C student.

It's just a really twisted and nonsenical movie that's competely devoid of a moral concious. If you're into stuff like that you might like it too. :P

No offense to anyone, but I HATE MLP. It's all over! It's cool to like, but to be overly obsessed with it like my cousin Eli and some of his friends is just sickening...

But anyways...

The Price is Right. I loved it with Bob Barker, I love it more with Drew Carry.

I know this is an old topic but oh well, here's to bumping! :D

Another guilty pleasure of mine is that I used to really like the show Desperate Housewives, and I'm like the only person I know who has watched it which I think is strange given how popular the show originally was. I can't really explain why I liked it so much, there's just something about watching a bunch of beautiful middle-aged suburban women act scandalous. Like the woman who was cheating on her husband with her teenage gardener, the mom who got addicted to her kids ADHD medication, the husband who cheated on his wife with a dominatrix hooker and was discussing marital advice with her while getting ready for some S&M, etc.

Of course the first few seasons of the show were the most enjoyable, I pretty much stopped watching the show after the 5th season because it got kind of dull and the ladies of Wisteria Lane were no longer as delightfully scandalous as they used to be.

I have plenty of pleasures, but I find guilt in none of them! NONE OF THEM!! Seriously though, I introduced a friend to My Little Pony and he is now a reluctant fan.
