I've been posting on WP for about a week and a half, asking all sorts of questions and getting the same sort of answers. My partner of 9 years is 100% sure I have Aspergers and so am I ( or some form of ASD).

It doesn't matter if it's Aspergers or some other form of autism (it's supposed to be a spectrum anyway). It feels as though life makes 10 times more logical sense now and has at the same time shrunk dramatically.

I'm sorry people are giving the same replies... I'm finding the same thing... I'm not even sure what I'm looking for here. I'm not sure what I want people to tell me. I just don't know what to do or how to go about any of this.

I know what you mean about things making so much more sense if you apply an Asperger's diagnosis to your life. Maybe we can support each other or chat or... whatever.

Hope you don't give up on this site... it looks like an informative place. I have to explore it some more.

A thing to remember is that more or less by definition Aspergers folks are not socially skilled.
It is at once both the best and worst place to go to try and connect.
You will find people like you and the trick is, I think, to keep looking until you find those who
are able or willing to communicate.

The skill required to speak over the internet is extremely low, there is no face to watch, no tone of voice to listen to etc. Thats why people openly discuss their problems here.
