How much to go to NZ for a month?

I'm looking at the very least £2,500 each for 30 days on the cheap seats - inc. car hire, hotels and flights. No way am I going on the cheap seats.

Can anyone else do better?

Since we are a pimple on the arse of the earth, it costs a huge amount to get here unless you live in Australia.

We are very isolated by a lot of ocean. :(

last I checked Brunei Airlines had the lowest fares from London to Auckland but I won't give you a quote. I was checking for Jan-Feb iirc.
