Confirmed by CNN and Fox News.

I admired the man. He died too young.

:( :( :(

Too young indeed. I'm not a fan of Mac computers, but I love iPods and stuff and all these idiots on FB are mocking his death merely because they dislike his technology. Totally wrong.

I read an article last night that called him a "pancreatic cancer survivor," which was amazing (I gather that that kind of cancer has a really low survival rate). It's too bad that was a premature conclusion. Hope his kids are grown.

R.I.P. To a man who did his best and accomplished much. He will be praised and reviled, he was liked, loved, disliked, and hated, but he lived his life doing his best. I think that is what we are supposed to do. I am still sort of not believing it...Sylkat

I'd like to use one of his creations to say goodbye. RIP.

I have an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch (2nd generation). Whether you you like or dislike him you cannot ignore his contribution and impact upon society and culture.
He will be missed. R.I.P.

I was just watching a news recap of his life and he made a few things quite clear:

1) Don't lose sight of your dreams - follow your instincts first, everything else and everyone else's opinion is secondary.

2) To work with people smaller than you brings you to mediocrity, to work with people better than you brings you to unimaginable growth.

These are things I would do well to remind myself of every single day.

This is very sad. I fell in love with some of the technologies that Steve Jobs and Apple created such as the MacBook Pro, iTunes, and the Ipod Touch. I can never live without those three things.

My heart goes out to Steve's family. May he rest in peace.

 rest in peace Steve Jobs.
You were like a cool older brother who was almost magic.
Wish you were still here.

His death so soon after stepping down shows his dedication. He worked till he was terminal. Amazing man.
He made apple the "cadilac of computers" (sp)
I wish his family closure and peace as cancer is a very slow death....it is like watching someone die is slow motion.
