Just wondered if anyone else gets like this with obsessions.

Just getting back into an old one and it feels like everything is pulling me, my body, my mind, to learn everything about it in as little time as possible. Its almost overwhelming!

Any ideas on how to stop it getting too much?

Yeah, I know the feeling.

What works for me is taking long breaks from it even if your brain says "NO!"
I have a lot of other interests too and try to fit as much of them into a day.
Sometimes, people can even save you from obsessing too much. If you want to be around people that is.

While I don't get like that when returning to old obsessions, I do get like that when I first discover a new obsession. My advice is to indulge yourself, but don't let it interfere with your routine or responsibilities.
