I don't know if this could be a possibility on this site but what if new members had to have their first couple of posts verified before they get accepted on to the boards.

I'm only thinking this because it may stop spammers, sockpuppets, previously banned people etc.

Annoyingly, this is the default configuration for phpBB: the first 5 (I think) posts of a new member go to a moderation queue for review before being allowed to appear on a forum.
But on WP it was configured away...

I know we talked about this before CF, but I'd love if new members had to write a minimum number of posts before having the ability to PM anyone. I'd suggest about 50 posts, personally.

Other things I'd like:

Any improvement on the functionality of the PM system, particularly if there could be ongoing conversations between users instead of separate PMs that you have to open and shut for every communication.

Also whenever I want to send a PM to someone I have to write their username in the "send to" box - even if I tap "PM" directly from a post of their's. My phone doesn't allow me to highlight a username to copy it for some reason (if I hold my finger over a username it doesn't do anything), and some usernames are hard to remember if you've got to use all the right capital letters and stuff.

Their username will come up automaticslly.

That's a great idea.

Oh yes, hadn't thought of that. :)

We have the Haven for when you're feeling a little blue, what about a forum just to post when you're happy! What made you stim today, what topics are you hyperfixating on, etc. It would be nice to have a positive space.

There are a number of threads available for just that - see the Random Discussion forum, here: viewforum.php?f=24

What about a multi-quote feature? You can click the "quote" button, but that only quotes one post in a thread... am I missing something?

The "quote" button is already miss- / over- used, and being able to unnecessarily quote multiple parts wouldn't be good... 8O

But it can effectively already be done with careful use of copy/paste and the "quote" tags.

As well as quoting multiple parts of a single user's post, you could also, hypothetically, quote multiple different posts in a thread & address them.

I saw the feature on a gaming forum many years ago & I personally found it useful.

But yes, you are right, you can do it manually - I was just thinking it might be an improvement to have the feature automatic at the click of a button. :D
