There are often little situations in the workplace to worry about. Very few are worth pursuing. Everyone in my fast paced workplace has strengths and weaknesses. It's not highly unusual for someone to to be sniped at by one of our supervisors (who have even more demanded of them).
On the occasions I'm the one sniped at, I want to react and get it resolved. But the actuality is that the moment it's over, it's really over. Things go better when I just take note and roll. And I know that.
So how do I stop obsessing about something that's over? I remind myself that what's needed from me in my workplace is to work, not obsess. Each time I catch myself obsessing, I consciously switch my focus to the task at hand. I roll and every time I've done that, soon that little situation evaporates into the over and done past.
