I'd rather be square.

Is that going to be a competitive sort of place? why are you even joking about being there as better than not being there. I have been 'not there' my whole life in fact probably was square when still inside my mother. maybe that's why I was born sunny side up and left handed.
... it's fine if people want to go there, but as for me I'll start a thread for those who don't go there but then, that's not really necessary.

the 40+ Something threads are open and inclusive (under 40s are welcome too if they feel like they would fit in!), but nobody is required to go there if they don't want to. i think the OP is excited and wanting to encourage people to check it all out.

if under 40s post there...wont the whole concept be a bit pointless

well, i don't think that very many will do so... 18-year-olds can post in In-Depth Adult Discussion but very few of them do. it's mostly people who feel like they want an older focus. it's sharply different from Adult Autism Discussion, for example, even though both places have adults.

also, it's kinda like how men post in the Women's forum. they can do so and respectful input is welcomed, but most guys don't really wanna hang out there

Just wanted to add that some of us have learned quite a bit by making errors and/or not understanding ourselves or others. Myself personally would like to help younger members to not make the same mistakes some of us have made.

I'm fairly sure that none of us would mind answering questions or helping out however we can.

Most of the posts there would be of interest to any age, so I would check them out, even if you aren't over 40.
