it's called a 'ball' but i think it's more of a posh party, dresscode-wise. i'm wearing a black lace dress with a low back and some super high heels. i wanted to wear a red dress because i've always wanted to wear a fancy red dress and sing lady in red to myself, but i couldn't find one :(. not joking.

:o oh my, it sounds like you'll look terrific! I want to hear you sing lady in red  someday, you will achieve your dream!

do people wear poppys in america?

We do in Canada as well. I have one on my jacket presently

Right after I get home from school I'm going to get on a plane and fly to London for a week, than I'm going to Sacramento for a week, than I'm flying back to London, than to Lisbon for a day, than back to Brasilia. I'm completely serious about this.

Visit the Vietnam Veterans Monument in Washington Park.

I did so on 11-11-2010, and am keeping my word to do so this year.

11/11 is my birthday! :o

I have a busy day planned, and I'm going to spend it with my favorite person in the world: my mom. :D

She is going to take me to a specialty cupcake shop, as well as a frozen yogurt place. After that, we will go to the mall where I will spend part of my birthday money ($25). Then we'll go to the thrift store, where I will spend more of my birthday money ($25). Finally we will go home, where I will go online and spend the remainder of my birthday money ($50).

Last year all the gifts I got were Alice in Wonderland themed. This year, it's all about My Little Pony!

Since I'm going to be crossing the Atlantic on that day I'm wishing you a happy birthday now as it highly unlikely I'll be able to do it then.

Putting the finishing touches on my poster for a conference, bumming around the house, and crossing my fingers that a disaster or significant event happens (I find them thrilling)!

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term psychiatrists - that I am a highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder

My diagnoses - anxiety disorder, depression and traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (all in remission).

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

Wear my Flanders poppy, observe two minutes silence (with appropriate prayers for our war dead) at 11 AM (Mountain Standard Time),
take the rest of Remembrance Day (Veteran's Day in the US of A) off....

I luckily *did* get my new camera lens, today, and I was out taking the first 11/11/11 photos, just a short while ago. ^_^ It was fun, even though it was cold and I eventually started shaking (from being poorly clothed, mostly). I think I probably will like this new lens. ^^

I have to go to bed, very soon, now.... so tired, but also have to get up very early so I don't miss taking the 11:11 time photos. :P

Happy early birthday to IdahoRose, by the way. :3
