It seems that the two commenters aside from me have ignored the circumstances and gone straight for shoddy attempts to pejorise the protestors by calling them spoilt rich kids, and using this maneuvre and trying to warp it in to a loss of face for no reason despite clear evidence of reasons to the contrary.

They're trying to protect their own and they don't care what help they have to get. Nice to know that their nobility trumps any political subjectivity they may have.

Because, most of those arrested in Oakland are "black bloc" hoodlums, and it is common knowledge in the Bay Area that the Black Bloc is spoiled rich kids.

Your overgeneralizations based on pure speculation aren't good enough and moreover are irrelevant to the cause at hand.

If they were so rich and spoiled, I seriously doubt they'd be protesting Wall Street. As a matter of fact, not every kid who's gone to college is spoiled and rich, and that certainly doesn't describe the veterans or other protestors from every other social and economic level who are on the ground there.
