Yup, Daylight Savings has come around for another year. If you live down below the Equator-uh, thingy, you'll be gaining an hour, and if you're above it, you'll have to pull it back an hour. Just a heads up so that you're not late for work or something like that!

Just a question: when you move the clock forward, what happens to the other hour? Is it replaced by the hour you gain when you pull the clock back an hour?

We put the clocks one hour forwards the last sunday in March and put them back one hour the last sunday in October. Earlier it was the last sunday in September, i.e. that would have been last sunday, but the f*****g good-for-nothing-EU have changed that.

Warning rant ahead. I think daylight saving sould be remove from the thought processes of most humans. It's based on flawed ideas, save power my ass. It annoys me alot. And yes the day light saving day was moved in NA silly gov. :!: End rant Now time zones I like each 15 degrees a diffrent noon was a pain. And that is not even followed to the letter. There are a few places with 30 or 45 mins offsets and time zones based on whole nations. China, the border with mexico, and a few other places. UTC with number time zone off sets like -0500 New york +0100 Paris +0900 Toyko that works better I think. This site has info about DST http://www.timeanddate.com/time/aboutdst.html

As far as Australia is concerned, daylight savings starts today in Tasmania and starts on Oct 29 in the rest of the states.
