I'm planning to give explanations to people I interact with on a regular basis on why it is I behave the way that I do, with AS/autism.

I have issues expressing my thoughts and emotions clearly, so I figured I'd ask around a bit, and see what methods work well for you all?

Maybe include something like this as a start:

'And so for me, taking a fair amount of alone time is healthy.'

"I'm not good at reading social situations."
"I may not be as emotionally expressive as most people."
"It can be difficult to tell you my feelings"
"I prefer logic and order to emotions"

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term psychiatrists - that I am a highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder

My diagnoses - anxiety disorder, depression and traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (all in remission).

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.
