new member from France

Hi, I'm Sophie, 24 years old, from France. (So please excuse my english)
I'm a web developer and I'm fond of Terry Pratchett (this explain my pseudo).

About a month ago, a friend talk to me about Asperger's Syndrome. She thought she have it and, because we have a lot in common she thought I maybe have it too.
So I have read a lot about it, and yes, I'm pretty sure I have it. By the way, where should I put questions about my self-diagnosis?

I feel so much better now that I know what's going on with me! And I'm so glad I'm not alone!

bienvenue Sophie my name is Brandon King, hence my pseudonym, may i be the first to welcome you to our family

you share a name with one of the characters of my favorite tv show Tèlèfrançais avec Jacque, Sophie, Une Pilote, Les Squelletes, et Les Ananas J'adore Les Ananas im French Canadian though only partially fluent En Français because my great grandma immigrated to Ètas-Unis from Montreal, Quebec, Canada but i have been doing my best to get as fluent as possible

i cant wait to see more posts from you in the future :)

As for your English: don't worry about it. That is to say, your English is not perfect but better than a lot of English people (I am not joking; I get bewildered laughter whenever I tell foreigners this!) so don't worry about it. ;)

Whereabouts are you from in France? I take it you're from la Métropole?

As for your self-diagnosis: the "General Autism Discussion" thread will suffice. :)

Brandon : I don't know of what TV show you are talking about.

Maybe foreigners try harder to be sure to be understood?
But I doubt there is that much English people who don't know well their own language…

I'm not from Paris, I don't like big citys. I'm from Caen, in Basse Normandie like you, ChrisP!

You'd be very surprised indeed. More than a few people are functionally illiterate here in the UK and that's even ignoring some Muslims.
