Whats your all time favorite Christmas movie and/or tv special?

The movie question is self explanatory but the tv special can be anything from a Christmas episode of a regular tv show, or a Christmas Special from the past or something recently, or something like Charlie Brown, or the Grinch, etc.

My favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Carol" with George C Scott, and TV show is Charlie Brown.

Although I wouldn't mind watching a rebroadcast of one of the old Bob Hope or Bing Crosby Christmas specials from the early 70s.

My favourite Christmas special at the moment, as you can see from my current avatar, is "A Pinky and the Brain Christmas Special". :D Sooo lovely and heartwarming, a brilliant Pinky and the Brain episode all round.

Like Fnord, I LOVE "The Nightmare Before Christmas", but I don't really think of that as a Christmas "special", it's a standalone film.

A tie, between A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch is as wickedly delicious a song as I have ever heard.
On the other hand, I still call a certain passage from Chapter 2 of the Gospel according to Luke "the Linus lesson."

Really obscure, but Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree. I have it on tape and I always watch it with my family every year since we taped it in 1995.

So its not related to christmas itself, but its tradition in german television to show "The last unicorn", and it has become tradition to me to watch it, while preparing the tree. :)

Christmas On Mars.

Very dark, nightmarish movie, filmed almost wholly in black and white, about a station on Mars, where both the facility and the human beings stationed there are coming apart as Christmas approaches. Parts of the station were being cannibalized to fix other parts, and now those parts are failing - including the life support systems. Meanwhile, the crew are having sexually nightmarish hallucinations, causing some to walk out into the Martian atmosphere without space suits to their deaths - the only explanation given by the station psychiatrist is that humans aren't meant to live in space. Then an alien visitor arrives outside the airlock - the only character to appear in live color - is put into a Santa suit, and heals both station and crew. As the Santa Clause alien leaves the station, the commander comments he was the best Santa they had ever had.
Starring, and written by the rock group, The Flaming Lips.

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer
