I've read somewhere that the Disney renaissance was in the late 80s and the early 90s. (the little mermaid came out 88 or 89). I see the disney renaissance as reaching from The little mermaid to The lion king, because that was the great period and Disney only went downhill from there. And my favorite Disney movie from the renaissance is a close tie between The little mermaid and Beauty and the beast

This is the toughest one. ARRG I don't know what to pick......

I eventually choose Hercules, but I also love Aladdin, The Lion King, and Mulan.

This one is VERY tricky because it's my favourite Disney era (and Disney is some sort of a guilty pleasure for me). I was a kid/teenager during Disney Renaissance and these movies, especially The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and the Hunchback of Notre Dame are my favourite Disney movies.

It was so difficult to choose between them.

- The Little Mermaid was where I got hooked on Disney, when I was about 8. This movie was one of my first special interests.
- Beauty and the Beast is, imo, their best animated movie.
- Pocahontas is a special guilty pleasure because of the story. But I like her as a character and I loved her hair.
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame has, hands down, the best soundtrack of all Disney movies. It's also one of their best and I am sorry that it was never popular like the rest of them.

I know people adore the Lion King, but while it was a great film, I always preferred stories with people and not animals (even though I like animals in RL).

Voted for the Little Mermaid, because she was the first and I was so obsessed with it. I think I can still reproduce all dialogues by heart.

Yet another batch where the worst one is still a good film. Anyways, here's my picks from best to good:
-The Lion King
-Aladdin
-Beauty and the Beast
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Hercules
-The Little Mermaid
-The Rescuers Down Under
-Tarzan
-Pocahontas
-Mulan

I recently thought about starting a thread about the old school Disney films. My interest in them began about five years ago when I was able to get most of the canon on VHS at 50p a go from charity shops. I now have most of them on DVD as well.

My vote in the poll goes to Beauty and the Beast. It's one of my all time favourite Disney films.

Mine would have to be The Lion King. I was five when it came out, so I was extremely obsessed with it. My entire bedroom was Lion King themed lol

I loved all of the Disney rennesiance movies except for Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tarzan. I never could get into those two.

I LOVE the little Mermaid! Her voice enchanted me.

I want to be human too, I want to be where the people are...I want to be part of their world.

Beauty and the beast is second. I feel like Bell.I'm different from the rest of them. I feel like the beast. I'm locked away and the electronics are my only mirror to the outside world.
