Anybody got here a high pain threshold like me?

It's where one doesn't feel as much pain as one should do.

It's like somebody would hit me and ask "did that hurt?" and I'd reply in bemusement "what did you hit me?" and they would look puzzled.

I have an extremely low pain threshold, which is why I hope those garlicists never torture me to get me to convert.

yes, although it does mean that I sometimes tend to ignore pain that I probably shouldn't.

I've been hit in the head numerous times, a few times nasty enough to cut it open and need stitches, none of those times did I ever realise this until I put my hand on my head and felt lots of blood or had other people tell me I should go to a doctor immediately.

The Great Sephiroth doesn't feel pain.

I posted about walking barefoot elsewhere.

Yeah, I've got a high tolerance for cuts, knocks, and sprains. Banged in the head a few times. Tried jumping down stairs once - found myself to be pretty unbreakable. Still havent had a fracture, other than fingers and toes, and they've been tolerable enough.

I dislike other types of pain - headaches, thankfully rare, are hell on earth, and irritated eyes, are immensly distracting.

Yep. I once had my head knocked against a bench. It didn't actually hurt, just felt sticky. So I put my hand against the back of my head to see why, took it away and my hand was covered in blood.

I ran past a car with a broken, jagged antenna once, and felt something. I looked down and noticed a huge, very deep cut across my left arm. I looked at the antenna, and saw that it was covered in blood. When I looked inside the antenna I found some of my skin. Then I went to find a doctor. No pain. And luckily, it didn't cut any main arteries or anything, or I wouldn't be typing this.

I think it depends on the kind of pain, if for example, i walk into a door/frame (sadly a common occurrence) i'll barely feel. Whereas if i have a headache, i'll pretty much cease to function.

I get a similar thing. When it comes to a blunt, or hard surfaced object, like a door/wall, floor, i tend to 'feel' it but not feel 'pain'. but anything remotely penetrating/cutting like injections/paper cuts, i tend to feel a lot of pain. and i get alot of migraines, i DEFINITELY feel them >_<

My pain threshold is low. I'm a big coward when it comes to pain.

i have a high pain threshhold, but i wouldn't say that it's anywhere close to causing accidental damage due to not noticing.

i can walk most anywhere barefoot. i used to play out in the forest barefoot when i was growing up.... but then again, im from ky lol

also... in preschool, i did make one odd friend... with our daycare's bully no less! it all started when she came up to me one day to give me her meanest indian-rug-burn. when i sat there looking at her like, "what?"... a very lucrative frienship began. she would peddle me around betting everyone that they couldn't hurt me with indian burns and when noone could even make me twitch, they'd cough up a nickel.

Its hard to say. I would say mostly I can not take any pain. But at the same time
I could run through a painfull side sitch to beat some young punk who thought he could beat an old geezer.
