Theists don't have to worry until the last Atheist is toast.

I'd imagine unsubstantiated optimism would be painful.

Part of the explanation lies in studying the health behaviors of the study subject -- the cheerful, happy-go-lucky kids tended to take more risks with their health across the years, Friedman explained.

Optimists have shorter lives because they have more fulfilling, adventurous lives?

And we pessimists, who bunker up like the mythical ants storing food for the winter, will not only outlive the optimists in linear time, but our lives will also seem a lot longer because of our burdensome worries.

Pessimists might be able to out live optimists in linear time, but optimists will outlive pessimists in no time.

Speaking of winter, as a man who lives in a city with REAL winters (Winnipeg), I wonder how uncharacteristic of me it is that I cycle in the winter. On the one hand, the dangers of winter cycling are quite overstated, on the other hand there still are some dangers to it.

Someone else's video of the landscape in my fine city.

Quite true. I feel like I've lived 100 years! :P
