Autistic people who speak Chinese in a monotone voice

How is this possible with a tonal language?

Interesting question. Might be they don't put emotional expression in their voice as much as others might.

The tones of Chinese are subtle. They are not like the exaggerated tones of socialization.

I cannot recognize intonation in Japanese at all, but in Japanese it isn't very important, its only used for a few words and you can get away with just using context.

My mother tongue is Chinese. I speak in a monotone which no one seems to be able to pick up.

Do you mean they can't understand you, or they don't notice the monotone?

They can't hear me even if I am talking quite loudly. It's like this hidden frequency, freaks me out quite a bit lol

(sigh) yeah, that was like 100years ago. I think some older people still hate them, mainlanders too? But my generation of Taiwanese youngsters usually love Japan, and the japanese maintains quite an amiable relationship. Actually many old folks here are thankful to Japan. During their occupation they built power plants in sun moon lake, constructed railways, and got the whole agriculture and industry working. Also they improved hygiene, and made the taiwanese polite and humble. So even though we were occupied, it wasn't really a bad thing.
Then it comes to the mainland. I am not sure of their current condition but I heard older people during mao's reign were told to worship socialism and hate imperialism. Maybe they are still taught this at school, I'm not sure. Maybe that's why some there hate Japan.

Besides the fact that the Japanese ripped there writing system of off the Chinese and both languages are completely alien to English speaker they have very little in common, I think English is closer to Hindi than Chinese is to Japanese.

Actually Chinese is very similar to Japanese, both spoken and written. That's because they are very close to china and basically comes from similar gene pools.

Correct, English and Hindi are both Indo-European languages, while Chinese is a Sino-Tibetan language, and Japanese is an isolate(has no known relatives.) Some theorize that Japanese might have some distant connection with Korean though(which is assumed to be Altaic.)
