I'd get my ears only slightly "elfed", not too crazy, but some people might get them pointy as crap! What are your opinions about this form of body modification?

I think they would look nice with tunnels (a form of jewlery for when you guage your earlobe) but that's my personal opinion

I think they're lame, and anyone who'd do it is an idiot. I also think the same thing about gauged earlobes, but different strokes for different strokes I guess. But not me.

I would not think it is cool or uncool. You are allowed to do what you want with your ears, and I respect your decision either way.

I've actually seen some women pull it off really well.

Well, you're 14. So maybe wait 20 years or so before you make that decision...

Indeed. I would wait awhile... many many years. What looks cool when you are 14 might look incredibly stupid to you when you are 20. Just an example.

I only just noticed that your age shows in your avatar, how long has that been there for?

I've already got one. One of my ears was injured and reconstructed - it's more or less all there but it comes to a point. It's surprising to me how few people notice it. Maybe I should get the other one clipped to match? :)

I wouldn't have them personally as I can't imagine pointy ears making much difference to the way you look over all

Lol, so long as the rest of you doesn't make people wonder if those are falmer ears :P.

Um, I think that Pondering's posts are really wise and well-written. Personally, I think that there is no need for you to undergo surgery to modify your ears. I mean, even relatively mild surgeries such as LASIK sometimes result in complications.

People should have the right to modify their bodies however they want, but that said, as someone who doesn't care for elves, I think elf ears look stupid.

If people want elf ears, I don't see any reason why not. It's their body, so they have every right to choose.

If people want to get stupid elf ears then fine, but if if they simultaneously also are only employable in service industry jobs... then they should be prepared to deal with almost nobody hiring them or getting ridicule from customers. Actually most professionals will probably think a person with elf-ear cosmetic surgery is batshit crazy and consider them a liability to the company.

It's your body, but considering your age, I would wait a while before deciding something like this.
