Does Youtube not have the friends feature anymore?

I don't see it. You can only subscribe to other channels but not "add them as friends" am I right? I'm not complaining, in fact, the friends feature is quite pointless when you can subscribe to other people. I'm just wondering if thats the case.

while we're moaning about youtube (yes we are), why do all the videos pause at 10seconds now...?

You still have whatever friends you have before, but you cannot add any more. Once you subscribe, they are not longer listed as your friend.
