The Beatles?

You're just a sad song with nothing to say.

It was Freebird...
And that was Disenchanted by My Chemical Romance

"Wo willst du hin so ganz allein treibst du davon..." - Seemann by Rammstein. :)

Alright, I only used Google to confirm, but I had heard this one recently, only twice (bummed me out so bad I deleted it from my iPod) and wasn't positive it was the same song. I guess I could have listened to it on my iTunes instead...

But let's not make them too easy. Hm...

And at the peak of the season, the Mediterranean
This time of year (it's so fashionable!)

Queen. Seaside Rendezvous. :)

Beautiful flowers lying lonely on a grave
Such a beautiful smile trying hard to hide the pain
I would have loved to have loved you with every waking hour
Now through the good times and bad
All I'm ever gonna have are these beautiful flowers.

Black stone Cherry- Staring at the mirror.

"And every door is guarded and every guard costs money
So the women are bought and kept and raped and sold as slaves
Because the family borrowed from The Man
And The Man has always got to be repaid"

i said 'here's my chance'-
i had the door knob in my hands

Bob Dylan?

Here's one for you all:

"Outright - in my thinking
And refusal in accepting
How a word so mundane as sexism
Could in some way relate to me"

sorry, but those lyrics are from "white shotguns" by hank penney [penny?]-

"it was a formal wedding, white shotguns,
her pa was awful happy, to have me as a son-
an' all the local bachelors was glad that i got stung,
it was a formal wedding, white shotguns!
"

it'll be on the novelty compilation i send you soon.

oh, here are some more mystery lyrics-

"kelly was a drinking man, he'd drink from night 'til morn-
you could always find him at his usual spot, soakin' up the corn.
a cop come over to his automobile for just a little talk,
he says 'are ya figurin' on a'drivin' home?'
he says 'sure, i'm too drunk to walk!
'"

HINT- the song title has the word "tonight" in it. and it's about drunkenness.

^Can't guess at the name of the song, but for some reason I imagine it being played by Lynyrd Skynyrd

sorry, it was "it's drunk out tonight," by butter ball brown. if you had done the google custom search atop the thread, you would have found it here on wrong planet. sorry i'm so [apparently] obscure, i just don't know any new popular songs. oh well, here is one lots easier-

"it was the dark of the moon on the sixth of june, and a kenworth pullin' logs-
a cab-over pete with a reefer on, and a jimmy haulin' hogs.
we's headin' for bear on eye-one-oh 'bout a mile outa shakeytown
i says, "pigpen, this here's rubber duck and i'm about to put the hammer down
"

^According to google that was Convoy by C.W. McCall

An easy one:

"Slow, love, slow
Only the weak are not lonely"
