I've never heard of a macaroni pie before.
They are basically Macaroni Cheese filling put inside a shortcrust pastry shell and deep fried until almost burnt to a crisp. They soak up all the fat and are 40000 calories per serving. :)

Thanks for the info CosmicRuss.

I am peeved. Ordered takeout and they didn't give me my fries. Would gasoline bombing the establishment be an overreaction? Kidding, but I really want my fries.

On the go, fries from McD or BK. In the summer also McFl ice cream.

At home (takeaway) either Thai green curry, chicken Korma or chicken chow mein.

A spicy chicken burger from anywhere that sells them. Those things are tasty!

I'll be heading to the local Dairy Queen in a few days.

I've been sick since Christmas and still have a ways to go.

My final step in seeing if I am feeling better after being sick is to go to Dairy Queen and order a hamburger and fries. If I can eat the entire hamburger and fries without a problem, that generally means that I'm back to normal. Kind of like a reverse canary in a coal mine.

I may change my practice this time, though. Of the last five times I went to Dairy Queen (in order of visit):

* Hamburger was really bad. Fries were okay.
* Tried chicken sandwich instead. Fries were okay, sandwich was bad.
* Hamburger was gummy -- really bad texture. Fries were okay.
* Hamburger and fries okay.
* Hamburger okay -- fries nearly the worst fries ever. The only thing saving them from being worst fries ever was that they weren't soggy.

I really don't think I want to go back again. Maybe I need a new test to see if I'm feeling better.
