What kind of crimes are committed by Aspies?

I know any human, NT, aspie, whatever is capable of committing heinous acts, but is there any specific type of crime an Aspie is more likely to commit?
I read somewhere that autistic/aspies are more likely to commit rape. Although I disagree with the article, I could see that an Aspie accused of rape simple misunderstood sexual cues? And thougt the person wanted sex whn he/she actually did not?

What's your take? I hope this isn't a stupid question lol

I think that is probably BS, I mean what led them to that conclusion?

But I really do not think there is a specific crime aspies are more likely to commit......I would assume non-violent crimes are more likely but that's kinda generalizing on my part.

Computer hacking related times and spur of the moment violent attacks. I think that's it.

How would an aspie be more likely to rape? Where's the studies that proved this?

The one I can see the most occurring is snapping on a persistent tormentor (bully) and being charged with (aggravated) assault & battery. I've come close to that, but thankfully held back and just got the heck away from that "person" as soon as I could.

The other one might be the scenario where an Aspie is desperate for friendship, he/she might be taken in by some streetwise trouble-making club leader (let's say "club" rather than gang, b/c it conveys a higher class) who then "promises" the Aspie of friendship and acceptance if only he/she will do something illegal.

I don't agree with the OP who said that mis-perceiving sexual cues would lead to rape. I've made out with girls before where it got more intense, alcohol was involved, but when I tried to gently take it to the next level I got what amounted to a clear "no". So I respected her wishes.

The "rape" part doesn't make sense to me. In my experience, aspies are aware of how bad they are at reading social cues, and so they always err on the side of caution. 99 times out of 100, the situation will be that the aspie doesn't realise that someone wants to have sex with them, not the reverse.

I'd like to see some actuarial studies of frequency and type of crime versus Aspie/Entie status.

Stalking, computer hacking, and shooting up schools.

Awhile ago there was a girl who accused an autistic friend of raping her. She eventually confessed that she made it all up but she made youtube videos about it and this forum exploded in debate, or flame wars.

So, that's probably where the idea came from. Some histrionic long forgotten about on the interwebs.

I agree that we might be arrested for assault if someone gets caught in one of our meltdowns. I try my best to not let that happen. Even if was to attack a telegraph pole I'd get taken in.

I've stolen before, was addicted to it, in fact. I'm most likely to be arrested at a protest rally.

Someone called the police on me because they thought I was breaking into my own house. I couldn't talk to them so they thought I was drunk.

I see aspies less likely to commit say fraud, mainly because our honesty and the fact that we would make horrible liars.

Computer hacking I could see being more of an Aspie thing as we tend to be good at computers. (well a lot of us anyways)
