well my score is 91, 4/53/10/24.

I dislike the subjectivity of such tests. Actually it makes me crazy. And I cannot believe people really take this seriously, even as a pre-diagnostics tool.

Humans are so freaking bad at interpreting and understanding randomness. Coupled with self-fullfillingprophecies and wishfull thinking (wishing to be aspie? did I wish my score was higher?)... there is no way you can get proper answers.

Take the questions in the sound category. In order to truly find out anything meaningfull whether or not you have a different hearing from 'normal' people, you'd have to set up at least a double blind study with 25 degrees of freedom and a satisfactory p value. Let alone compare child and adult situations.

I had to laugh reading that. It is such an Aspie response!

Obviously tests like this are subjective. The RAADS is supposed to be administered by someone who is trained to be able to help you with any questions you may find confusing or difficult to answer.

Additionally tests like this and the AQ are only screening tests. They are biased to screen out the obviously NT and that's about it. Even then practitioners are advised to use their own judgement in borderline cases. Accurate testing can only be done in person with a trained psychologist or psychiatrist.

Below are my test scores:

Total score = 207.0

Language = 19.0

Social relatedness = 96.0

Sensory/motor = 53.0

Circumscribedinterests = 39.0

It would appear that my scores are higher then average for females with ASD.

The question below I know many NT people also can relate to:

73) I can't tolerate things I dislike (like smells, textures, sounds or colors).

1) I have been having irrational thoughts pertaining to my neighbor’s wind chimes that are located approximately 20 feet from my bedroom window. I’m now taking sleeping pills to sleep at night because of the offensive sound that they make. When speaking with NT's about this they all tell me they can understand why it is so bothersome to me.

2) At my place of employment the copying machine is located 2 feet from my desk. This machine generates a high level of noise which creates a high level of anxiety for me everyday. I have been wearing ear phones most of the day to manage the noise it makes. I'm also taking Klonopin to manage the anxiety. My co-workers have expressed that they would also be bothered by this if they were sitting in my location.

Total: 142.0
Language: 9.0
Social Relatedness: 64.0
Sensory/Motor: 51.0
Circumscribed Interest: 18.0

Interesting to note., however, is that the average scores for both males and females who identify as neurotypical are above threshold, according to the link on aspitetests (Male NT-82.2; Female NT-69.6). Of course, some of these individuals may not actually be NT, but it is still of curiosity...

The test is now part of the Aspie tests website. Unfortunately I can't edit my original post to correct the link.

Hello Jb,
I can't interpret the scores for you, someone on here may be able to.
You really need to contact the doctor and ask them to explain the results to you.

In the mean time, try not to let this get to you.
You are still the same person you were before the test, nothing has changed and there is nothing to worry about.
The ultimate aim of the test is to enable you to develop strategies dealing with any issues that might make life difficult for you.

Good luck, best wishes.

Jb, this link has my results to the online test from the aspietests.org website, it has a chart to see where your answers compare to their results for different groups (ASD, Suspected, NT, and male/female):

Hello Jb, I have gone through the online test after I last posted, I scored 180 overall.

My results here.

http://www.aspietests.org/raads/questio ... cale=en_GB

You need to go on the scale along the bottom of the graph to find your overall score of 213.

The average NT score is about 45 with most (90%) NT scores between 5 and 160.

The average aspergers score is about 165 with most (90%) aspergers scores between 90 and 225. (This includes you at 213)

Please see your doctor to discuss your results.
