Greetings from the windy city!
I am 28 years old and have undiagnosed AS. My cousin was diagnosed several years ago after spending most of his life being treated and medicated for disorders that he did not have. That planted the seed that ended with me looking up the symptoms recently. The list of symptoms pretty much read like a story of my life. I have all the items on the checklist beside sound and light sensitivity.
It's actually quite liberating to have a name for why I am different and I can develop a strategy to adjust my behaviors. I have been forcing myself to look other people in the eyes when I speak to them and get away from getting distracted by the small details around them. I feel I can probably get walking on my toes when I have my shoes off taken care of rather easily, too.
