The whole movie is morally reprehensible insult to Mesoamerican culture.

I can usually excuse historical inaccuracies in movies, but the inaccuracies in Apocalypto are so massive that the film comes across as imperialist propaganda. The film is clearly trying to say that we need to force non-white people to behave like Westerners using military force.

It's an insult, and a great fantasy film. That's also an insult.

I don't believe in "bad movies". "Worst" is subjective: if a movie entertains someone, be it intentionally or unintentionally, then it's done its job, and yes, that includes movies like 'Birdemic' and 'The Room'. The movies I dislike are nonetheless enjoyed by others and the movies I love are nonetheless disliked by others.

...with the exception of 'Highlander: The Source' (#5 in the series). Nobody likes that movie and everyone creatively involved with its production should be permanently blacklisted from filmmaking. :P

I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I don't care.

No hate from me. Just a very confused expression.

Most of the bad movies I've seen were via Mystery Science Theater 3000. Stuff like The Pumaman, Space Mutiny, and Santa Claus Conquers The Martians. Widely considered to be bad movies, but because of their association with a guy and two robots making fun of them, they've become classics of a sort. The TVTropes website calls stuff like this So Bad, It's Good.

Stuff like The Last Airbender, though? That's So Bad, It's Offensive. What a dumpster fire of bad film-making, bad casting choices, bad everything.

If I may try to add some clarity, I think it mostly has to do with the fact that I really enjoyed the book Charlie And The Chocolate Factory when I was much younger, but when seeing Willy Wonka, it felt like a betrayal of what was already perfect about the book it was loosely based on. I mean seriously, you're adapting a short children's book, not War And Peace. You can leave stuff in. Strangely enough, the 2005 Tim Burton adaptation of the book (no it's not a remake of Willy Wonka. Ahem), while not a perfect movie, I still remember more fondly as the more faithful adaptation and still enjoy watching to this day.

There were a good number of films featured on 'MST3k' which I thought were actually pretty decent, were just okay or whose worst crime was simply being low-budget or a little cheesy. I always thought 'Time Chasers' ,'Laserblast' and quite a few films from seasons 8-10 weren't that bad at all. I love 'MST3k', it's one of my favorite shows, but I love those actual vintage drive-in B-movies even more, and 'MST3k' has unfortunately instilled this mentality in younger generations that such movies are automatically "bad" because they're the kind of films which gained fame through being mocked on the show. Keep in mind, 'MST3k' later birthed Rifftrax, who've riffed everything from 'Star Wars' to 'Casablanca': any film - even good ones - can be successfully riffed if the comedians are talented enough.

Not that I'm implying you're such a person, but hey, I saw my favorite show mentioned and I thought I'd chime in. Conversely, 'MST3k' also featured 'The Starfighters' and 'The Skydivers', easy entries into the "So Bad, It's Bad" category, as well as 'The Wild Wild World of Batwoman', which is probably the most fascinating trainwreck of a "comedy" film I've ever seen.

Some of the movies people have listed are some of my favorites!

I don’t like any movies that have graphic violence. I just can’t stomach them.

I hated Braveheart for this reason. I also walked out of the movie The Punisher when I went to see it with my friends.

A pornographic movie called Cafe Flesh. Some people were playing it at a party that I was at when I was a teenager. I didn't watch the whole thing and thought it was awful.
