just wondering, what games would you want to make a single game out of?

in my case, Id like Grand theft auto with transformers and Battlefield or call of duty. that could be fun... then throw some dragonball z action into it.

or... I'd like to see King of fighters vs dragonball z vs marvel vs mortal combat.

maybe... Crash bandicoot and Spyro vs Mario and Sonic.

so, now, what would you like? i know none of this will ever happen, but still fun ideas, right?

When I was younger I spent hours designing (on paper) a game that would combine Grand Theft Auto/Fallout/Ultima Online. It would have been awesome. I think I was way ahead of the times, cos they still haven't made a game that's as appealing as what I had in mind. In fact, games just seem to be getting crapper

the crafting system from star wars galaxies, coupled with some more component based crafting ala ryzom

all set in a world like fallout with similar game mechanics, i would however prefer the action to flow more like it does in stalker.(to my mind still one of the most realistic shooters out there, great feel of the weapons and great bullet penetration and injury systems (gets slower from a leg shot etc)

all in all remove the sluggish rpg feel from fallout while maintaining the skill system, plus crafting where one can actually invent new items (different materials give different stats and components can be coupled together by function)

Mass effect story and rpg with ratchet and clank weapons and humor.

mass effect series has one of the better stories out there.

Man I need to play the second one. Towards the end on the first mass effect you actually feel for the characters.

Ratchet and clank- the more you use the weapon the more it levels up to a certain extent. And they just look so out there. One of the better weapons was the black Sheepinator

Well, Traveller has been around longer (since 1977), so it has a vary large canonical database (Link to Traveller Wiki); there is an extensive fanbase ("Citizens of the Imperium" and "Freelance Traveller" for example); and the original rules are simple (Roll 2d6 for 8+ to hit, with Dice modifiers for armor and weapon used).

Traveller harkens back to the Golden Age of Science fiction, and derives much of its "science" from the works of Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Heinlein, and their contemporaries.

The rules are meant to be adaptable to any S/F style - I've seen Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon V, Firefly/Serenity, and (of course) the aforementioned Stargate franchises played out with Traveller rules - usually before any "official" RPGs were licensed for each of the franchises. Traveller has also been adapted to GURPS, Mongoose, and some minor RPG rulesets, as well.

More about Traveller can be found in This Wikipedia Article.

Sly Raccoon with Metal Gear Solid. It would be the game of the gods.

vs Darkstalkers. I would go for that. In fact I´ve tried to put together something on the line in Mugen, but I just can´t level the characters right.

Otherwise, Armoured Core vs Gundam vs Cyberbots.

Oh, and a mix of Frogger and Dune or Command & Conquer, where you would raise your army of frogs and build ponds for raising tadpoles, training facilities for froglets, tech factories for producing cyborg frogs and frog mecha suits etc. Only question is who´d these frogs would fight. Other frogs? Space Invaders?

Fallout 3 + Crysis (the first one). Fallout's excellent story('s), huge map, and Karma + Crysis's relatively customisable weapons (though Mess Effect had better customisation though), great graphics, and vehicles.
