Nearly everyone here has them. I love Calvin and Hobbes, playing bass and PS3 games.

Yours?

Geology and geological processes (volcanoes), Evolution and prehistoric life and environments (particularly marine), palaeolithic nutrition.

That is it at the moment.

Oh and David Attenborough documentaries.

My previous interest (cross stitching and sequin art) went dormant when the geology etc took over lol.

I'm not sure I have interests intense enough to qualify as obsessive but right now I'm really into playing boggle online and reading fantasy books....

Interesting replies. I had a stint with David Attenborough documentaries, he is very passionate about his work. I still enjoy them on a rainy day.

The Kinks and The Mid 60s - not the hippie movement.

I have many. I don't know if having many interests still counts as 'special'. If you consider my daily routine, music and cartoons are my main interests now, with everything else coming second. Though one might also suggest my interest in Asperger's and psychology comes close, as I spend so much time talking about it.

Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movies - I've had this interest for 2 years. My favorites are Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd. I'm excited to see Dark Shadows (which comes to theaters on May 11th in the US) and I've been obsessively tracking its progress since before production started.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - I've had this interest for 3 months. I've seen every episode that has come out so far and I've collected some of the toys. Sometimes this obsession gets to be really intense to where all I think about is the ponies and I even have dreams about them sometimes.

Powerpuff Girls Z (aka the anime version of the Powerpuff Girls) - A brand new interest. As of right now there's no telling whether it will be a short-term or a long-term interest. I used to watch the Powerpuff Girls when I was a child, and I was very excited when I'd heard that they made an anime version. I finally found a website that streams it, so I decided to watch it. Even though it differs from the original, I find it very enjoyable in its own right.
