Assuming the Intense World Theory has some truth to it - at least in the area involving "fear memories" - does anyone think this might have something to do with feelings of stress and anxiety not directly related to sensory issues?

I'm particularly sensitive to loud noises, and though my parents were aware of this they would yell at me when I was in trouble or use an old-fashioned bike horn as a form of punishment (one of my fondest fantasies involves setting said bike horn on fire). I suspect this may have something to do with this unsettled, fearful feeling when thinking about certain subjects.

I've attempted to discuss this with my NT friends, but I don't think they really understand. Does anyone else have this problem, or think that it could be a possible connection?
