I like some of her old music, and some of her not-as-old music ("Four Minutes"), but the tracks that she debuted at the Super Bowl ... I donno ... they're different. I know that artists can change musical styles over time, but it sounds like Madonna is blending her old style with her not-as-old style. What do you guys think? Yea or nea?

I sort of like her new single - I don't even know the name but its the one she performed at the superbowl - "L-O-V ... MADONNA!" or something like that. but for the most part I haven't really liked much of what she's done since Ray of Light. Sky Fits Heaven from that album is my favorite track of hers.

That Superbowl halftime show she just did is the best one I've seen.

a minority opinion here- her OLD music was no better than her new music, which is no better than her old music, which is....

Madonna's music was never anything more than softcore porn for the ear. If her music was not associated with the image of a shapely blonde in a corset gyrating in a vulgar manner on a stage full of gay chorus boys, I doubt that most folks would have paid her much attention.

I dislike her ever since she started practicing Kaballah, I think her younger self was a lot more thoughtful and made a bigger contribution to music and culture. People still seem stuck in the mindset that the 'old' Madonna was bad because she used her sexuality; People with such opinions shock me.

she was good at selling the sizzle and tantalizing little bits of steak. what she did was akin to an industrial-scale strip-tease artist, with added razzle-dazzle.

What I don't get is, how does one ignore the fact she was much better then? Compare any single from then to a single from now. People just stereotyped her as someone who had nothing to say, which in my opinion, is wrong. If anything, Ray of Light was empty mumbo-jumbo, compared to her early work.
