right this mintue for me is the single In The Rough by Anna Nalick. It's so beautiful. a tad bit sad but very fresh and energetic just the same. it's a love song but one that seems hopeful despite it all.
in general i'm also digging minimalist darkish music inspired by Trent Reznor from NIN's new effort How to Destroy Angels, but besides that, i really want to share In The Rough. Anna has a beautiful voice and great songwriting talent. enjoy, and share with me yours! (actually this is the official music vid, i also found out, so if you're into one particular music video as well for some reason show me that too, along with the song...optionally.

I like a lot of old stuff, like Billy Joel, Elton John, and Journey. But I also like more recent artists, too, like Mariah Carey, Faith Hill, and Sheryl Crow. I'm ecclectic! :D

Been a fan of Ladytron for quite a while and enjoying music from their 5th album Gravity the Seducer.

Genre seems to be a form of New Wave or something I'm not sure.

I love Ladytron's 17. One of my favourite tracks ever.

I'm all over the place when it comes to music. (anything, really) Phases generally last until the song is over and another begins...

Blue Skies Up Ahead - Ian McCulloch. People generally consider me obsessed with bands, but the problem lies in the definition. I consider obsession to be repeating something involuntarily, and with Ian, no matter what way I try to look at it, I believe that his work is genuinely good and that my appreciation is well-deserved, and not just a disorder. So he is my most ranked and esteemed artist.

What I like about Echo & The Bunnymen is that the music sounds complex to me without being art rock-y at all, and the songs are actually quite easy to play.

Over The Wall - an example of a quality EATB song:

Immersed - in the ire of creation. i mean wahhhhh where have these guys been? normally when i see a deathmetal CD at a music store with a unreadable bands name, i run. i run very fast, mostley because it almost always sucks!

revocation's new cd was also suprisingly good

i'm shocked.

A band I found recently(Cadillac Sky), seems like a mix of energetic bluegrass and I dunno what else... psych some times, indie other, and a bit of alternative/experimental.

Right now I'm completely obsessed with Deadmau5 and Skrillex.

I'm not sure if this is too mainstream, but I've been obsessing over One Direction (the British group, not the American) lately!! Thee are my 2 favorite songs by them.

Right, right now....A week ago I listened to something different to what I am listening right now.
So right now I'm listening to Tegan and Sara (their whole discography).
But more specifically I'm listening to more of Samantha Ronson for some days now. If I'm trying to be objective I wouldn't say she is that good. She can make some nice melodic music, catchy and intresting but her skills in creating or covering music compares to her singing voice (which I really like but it's certainly not a good and practical singing voice).
Despite all this, I have to listen to some of her songs right now for some unknown reasons...
A pretty cover song:

She oddly has something about her voice that's a little similar to Robert Smith... And she's cute.

I'm not sure if it's similar, oddly similar ...maybe. It's tame and fragile.
I agree with the last statement.
I've found her music some years ago, listened to it and liked it but without knowing how she looked,... (actually, most of the time I first listen and then I research about the people behind the music, melodies or voices....or whatever).

I usually need to be 'forced' if I'm going to listen to many songs... Hence my discovering a lot of what I like on outdoor events.
