I don't understand the question when someone asks "have you ever had a moment when you felt like a NT?" that's like asking me if I ever had moments where I felt like a guy, or times when I felt like a lesbian. No.

I have asked my dad once "what does it feel like to be a boy?", his reply was "this is how I have always been, I don't know anything else."

I don't know anything other than what I already know, I don't know any other feelings, so I really cannot compare. I don't know if I feel like a aspie or a NT, but I can compare the common traits of each, and see which one I connect with more...

what do you think?

I think if you had felt it, you would know. That isn't to say you can't feel it. You just haven't yet. There are drugs that will give you tons of insight into nonautistic feelings and perception.

I've always felt different. The only time I feel like everybody else is when I'm drunk or high.

Even if I am drunk or high I don't feel like everyone else....they are easier to socialize with under the influence of some things though.

I always felt hugely empathetic when high. I could watch television soap operas and totally see everyone's point of view. I didn't see this as becoming particularly NT, however.

(Facepalm) WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING HIGH!

Aren't Aspies suppose to be smart?

(angry mumbling.)

Someone needs to write in to Alex to include a "like button," but for now [like].

I assume it would be when you feel normal and feel you fit in. I can say I have felt it before but very rarely. The only time I can recall and maybe the only time ever is when I was playing football with some friends (not soccer) and one day I was on fire, caught every ball and made multiple touchdowns. Being the best at a sports activity I felt normal but that is probably the only time.

After I exercise I see everything in a whole picture sense than my close attention to detail. I have clearer thought and can concentrate better. But then it goes and I'm the usual distracted, hyper, can't be be bothered, sounds too loud, people go away from me forever and don't use that one bowl I use everyday person that I usually am.

Actually during exercise I stim like crazy.

When I get that clearer thought process without the aid of medication I feel a bit NT.

Around Christmas time I was doing really well with socialising. What the heck-a-roony happened?

Feels nice, and any altered perspective is a learning experience.

What is wrong with getting high? if your just talking about pot there are no long term side effects so what is the big deal? I don't smoke but I will when it becomes legal probably.

WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING DRUNK!

I strongly recommend altered perspectives to infovores. You can feel like an NT with oxytocin. You can get insight into just about anyone with the right drugs and mindset, in my experience.

No long term side effects...not of the body maybe. I can still feel the rage, see the hallucinations, feel the pounding in my chest. OK the last one was in the body.

Alcohol just makes me do stupid things...and have seizures. Both do actually.

I've barely smoked five buds in my life. Had some cookies though.

I'm just jealous I can't touch drugs again but I'm proof that marijuana isn't so harmless and does have long term health affects. Mental health affects.

If you keep taking that stuff you will end up as mad as me.

Exploring madness is requisite. You can be sane when entropy smooths out your crinkles after you die.

This isn't exactly a nt moment but in the past when I got a chance to try valium I thought that the way I felt when I took it must be what normal (as in non-anxious) people feel like most of the time.
