Aw, when I've seen Control, I thought parts of his personality were similar to ASD.
[But I think there's only room for one post-punk Aspie power couple - Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant. Though my more likely hypothesis is that they bring out the 'Aspie' characteristics in each other, and that they weren't always like this anyway - there's a lot more eye-contact in the band during the Evergreen period, if anyone were to look into it. I wish the ideal state would have continued and we'd still have Les, but that's not the way things are.]
Anyway, about Ian Curtis - didn't know him, mind, but I do remember the part of Control where he was rushed to hospital, and one of the bandmembers commented on his usual behaviour, which I can only paraphrase right now - 'We'd have to start worrying if he did speak'. What a darling, shame about the loss.
