Is it the Wild West setting, or the mechanics?

It's actually a combination of both. The play system is great, and I love the feeling that I'm stuck in a Sergio Leone movie too! :D

What is it like since I was intrigued but opted against since I hate having to search for lots of ammo like in Undead Nightmare.

Personally I love all Resident Evil games, but I do run out of ammo rather quick in Resident Evil 5. I prefer Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Gonna post PS3 exclusives. For me when I have the PS3 around, these are essential brain and smiley face food!:

The Journey (thatgamecompany, 2012)
Catherine (Atlus, 2010/11)
Silent Hill: HD Collection (or preferrable the originals as this is buggy) (Konami, 2012)

I'd also like to chip in with demons souls, love that game (only the Bandai Namco release now, since the servers of atlus shut in about 3 weeks)
But I'd say:
1.demons souls
2.valkyria chronicles
3.eternal sonata

A PS3 library would suck without this.

I'd also throw in LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, and Journey.

Dante's Inferno, the Assassin's Creed series (one of few hyped games that deserves it), and LittleBigPlanet 2

Bonus: Mass Effect 2/3
