Isn't that case still open anyway?

Oswald never lived to see his day in court, and many were critical about how the Warren Report had drawn its conclusions even before it had completed its job. Jim Garrison as DA of New Orleans had reopened the case, but was unable to convict Clay Shaw on conspiracy charges. Later, the House Select Committee On Assassinations had come to the conclusion of a probable conspiracy in the Kennedy assassination, but the Justice Department has as of yet failed to follow up with prosecutions.

While I think Oswald was hardly an angel as some conspiracy theorists try to make him out to be, and might even have fired some of the shots, I think you're right.

Every conspiracy theory has a fall guy in this one it was Oswald.

The above several quotes also distract from the subject at hand. Devolving into the Kennedy plot, this takes the serious discussion of 9/11 from being discussed and moves it into the backseat with bigfoot, and UFO nuts.

9/11 was a serious crime against humanity. Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfield need to be arrested and tried for crimes against humanity. By talking about Kennedy or other less reputable claims you take away from the seriousness of this situation. Two major wars, countless deaths, and the draconian patriot act are all proof that 9/11 was a lie.

Here's another video to that extent:

Aspies are supposed to be smart; why lend yourself to propoganda?

I personally am not a "truther" per se but I do thing that there was a lot of weird "just so happens" that I think there should be a new investigation. Heck, even Bob Graham, the head of the 9/11 Commission, said there should be a new investigation.

Doubt about the official story of the Kennedy assassination predates 9/11 by years. It wasn't something that just happened to have been brought up in recent years since the Twin Towers were destroyed.

Within 24 hours of the 9/11 outrage the conspiracy theorists wheeled out their version of the Reichtag Fire.

They did the same thing after the Oklahoma City explosion.

I remember how right wing nuts claimed Oklahoma City was perpetrated by the government in order to crack down on poor, defenseless "patriot groups." One one pre-tea bagger right wingnut in Congress had even had the nerve to proclaim that the federal government had brought it upon themselves.

Except this is the real deal.

Debate the evidence, I don't see anyone here doing that. Believing in propaganda and public lies does a greater diservice to the victims of 9/11 than debating the details of what actually happened. Willful ignorace is a sign of the times.

War is a terrible, terrible thing. Even if New York was nuked it wouldn't make things even a little bit better starting a war somewhere else and killing more.

Look at the evidence, watch the videos, confront your fears. That's what seeking the truth is really about. Not living ignorant in the dark, frightened by the shadows. I feel pity for all of the millions who will choose to remain in the dark and will never seek truth in their own lives.

This will be my last post here on this subject.

I already said this in a similar topic some time ago, but... why?

When Bush decided to invade Irak, an important policy question, he made false allegations on the basis of old, overused rhetoric, and when the UN disagreed with him, he didn't care, and invaded Irak without the UN (and without opinion on his side, shall I ask).

Why would he have destroyed important infrastructure in the most important city in the world just so he could invade Afghanistan? (Reminder: Afghanistan is a land-locked country, the most important production of which is opium poppy, and had defended against British and Russian invasions in the past by virtue of its inhospitable terrain. Its most important role in international diplomacy had been, till then, that of an undevelopped buffer-zone.)

It will do so whether it is worth it or not.
