most of the time at home, i'm socks only. late at night when i'm wrapped in blankets or when it gets too hot i am barefoot.
at school i like to take off my shoes (just my shoes!) in class...people have gotten used to it. it's one of the main things i'm known for.

I'm stuck between choosing "Just socks on their own" & "Barefeet."

Shoes+socks every time possible. At home I use slippers+socks (2 pair of socks and no shoes when I am a quest in someone home and I don't have slippers, 2nd pair of socks always fits in my bag). In garden or when I am on vacation (seaside) - flip flops/sandals... and socks. I only wear shoes without socks when I have to go out in the sandals to the city (sandals with socks are socially unacceptable for some reason) or I am at swimming pool where putting sock on and off would be unpractical.

I occasionally try to go out barefoot to the garden for textile input (grass, snow, floor hot from sun) but I can stand only a moment like this. Same with being barefoot at home (when I wake up at night and can't use slippers for some reason). The textile sensation is very distracting, everything sticks to my foot and I am afraid I will get a piece of a glass(kitchen) or cat litter(bathroom) or something bite me(garden). The only place I go barefoot is the beach. I can't stand sand in my shoes or socks.

Sock are my favorite part of clothing. I have quite a lot of them, I keep buying new ones. They used to feel uncomfortable (the elastic around ankle!) but the problem is gone since I found a way. I just cut the elastic part off. The sock rolls up a little but it doesn't fall. It feels almost like the sock is not there. Except it still guards my sensitive foot from dirt, textiles and cold.

Totally depends on situation.
At home during seasons which are not winter it is bare feet. Having Raynaud's I have to wear at least socks during winter unless I want to spend a thousand dollars a month running the furnace on high 24/7.
Shoes and socks, or sandals (without socks!) when away from home.
I live in a farm country town and don't want what's on the bottoms of people's barnyard boots and they track around town as they walk getting on the bottom of my feet for me to track home.
At home, shoes get left just inside the front door.

Definitely just socks. I hate being barefoot!

I wear socks and shoes all the time whenever I go somewhere. Without that I would be uncomfortable as hell! :P

Outdoors, shoes with socks.

Indoors: If hot, barefoot. If somewhat cold, socks, if colder, slippers.

Indoors while it is warm... barefoot
Outdoors while it is warm sandals with NO socks. Or hiking boots with short socks. On casual Fridays with the military, they insisted on socks! OMG!

Once it cools down, ankle socks as I hate socks up my legs. Although if I have big boots on, longer socks are OK. It mostly depends on the weather.
