It seems to me that the spectrum as a measurement is used in far too linear a manner by most. It's like having one gauge for a complicated machine that needs dozens of gauges, fuel, temperature, coolant level, air pressure, oil pressure, speed, altitude etc...

The gauges wouldn't be static from day to day either, maybe there'd be meltdown gauge where the needle would go into a red zone when you're dangerously close to a meltdown. I know I'm personally far more prone to shutdown or meltdown some days and far less prone to these things on others.

Anyway, I just thought of it and I'm trying to visualize my own heads up display with stress level, social exhaustion, comfort zone, anxiety, and more stuff as I think of it.
