What Alf is saying: you cant turn the clock back any technology.

We cant go back to a world without vacuum cleaners, nor to a world without nukes.

The technology exists. We have to live with it.

Two superpowers might agree to get rid of their nuke ( US and Russia say) but both could- and both probably would- squirrel a few nukes away in caves and old salt mines that the other couldnt verify.


We could reduce our stockpile but its just not feasible to eliminate it completely.
