I only like getting hugs from one friend and she gives me tight hugs. :)

When I must shake hands, I prefer a firm grip. Soft hand shakes really weird me out.

i love tight hugs. pressure feels good.

if someone gives light hugs, you should try squeezing them first. maybe they'll squeeze back. that works for me with papa.

option 3: no hugs. I do not like the constraint and I have absolutely no clue how to act. I have seen people returning hugs, but I can't seem to do it. I can't even relax enough to think about how to return. Ah social skills...

I seem to be that rare aspie who loves being hugged, and I'm not that particular about who hugs me. And I guess I'd say I like my hugs somewhere in the middle - not so light that you can barely feel anything, but not so tight that it hurts.

I don't care for hugs but I love them from my 6 year old little brother and I prefer tight hugs from him........ Any one else I'd rather have a loose hug or none at all

Never thought about tight versus light. Truth be told I would rather not be hugged at all.

I was thinking that I probably do not like the social aspect of hugging as I do like my weighted blanket and being wrapped up in my cocoon which others call a bed.

There are only two people who I enjoy hugging. Both are most likely also undiagnosed Aspies; we hug tighter and tighter until one of us lets out an involuntary grunt. If it isn't a bear hug, I'm not comfortable with it. With others, I'm afraid I am going to crush them because I can't tell how much pressure I exert (I'm 6' 210lbs so... ). I don't mind kids and old people though. I generally just hug with one arm with them though.

I hate bumped threads because they remind me of who's not here anymore :(

Anyways, tight hugs from my dad and cousin help me.

I can't remember the last hug I had. Good thing too.

I don't like being hugged, or touched at all really.
If I had to, I'd prefer it be tight (but not so much that my ribs hurt).

I've realized that when I'm very stressed about being in a public place, I have a tendency to cross my arms in a way such that each hand is on the outside of the opposite elbow and squeeze myself somewhat tightly. I guess that's kind of like hugging yourself.

Tight hugs are awesome, light hugs are not.
