Falling asleep... with arms in the air

For some reason I just started thinking about why I used to do this as a kid. Until now, I never thought anything of it.

What I would do was lie down then extend either one or both arms straight up in the air, wrists limp. I would fall asleep that way sometimes, even to the point of waking up hours later with them STILL in the air.

This was a phase that happened on and off for a period of a couple of years. I remember how relaxed my arms felt even while I had this shooting straight towards the ceiling with no wavering.

Has anyone else done anything like this in the past?

I do that too (except I've never fell asleep doing it). It feels very relaxing. My brother thinks it does too. My mom thinks thats weird, but it feels so comfortable. I did it when I was younger, and still do it now. I don't know why it feels so good, but I know what you're talking about.

I dont do this but I think that it sounds like quite the talent, when I wake from sleep I usually find that I have spun around and my head is where my feet should be and vice versa.

I've done this a few times in my life but it's rare and I do it when I'm relaxing, laying down and watching TV or something.

No there is no way I could sleep with my arms like that.

I lie down with my arms in the air periodically, but I've never fallen asleep like this. I'll lie in bed and stare at my hands.

My arms are usually above my head, but not in the air.

I also did that as a small child.

My dad used to fall asleep on the couch like this... I am an aspie. My dad also shared some traits.

Your arms didn't fall down when you fell asleep? I don't think that I could do that, have my limbs in the air and not have them fall down when I fell asleep and was no longer holding them up.

I sometimes put my arms straight up over my head while sitting watching TV. I don't know why. If you get them perfectly balanced it requires no thought at all.
