Barber's Agnus Dei, one of the greatest works of catharsis in the Western world. (Turn the volume up, set other things aside.)
Agnus Dei, Qui tollis peccata mundi, Miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, Qui tollis peccata mundi, Miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, Qui tollis peccata mundi, Dona nobis pacem.
Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world, grant us thy peace.

Yes, let us remember a bunch of people [in a positive light] who picked up weapons and killed another bunch of people who did the same to them, both of which didn't personally know each other nor have any personal grievances against.
Ain't humanity grand?
That's kind of how I feel. I think we should focus on addressing the problems in society that cause violence & other problems instead of wanting to kill anyone who slights us. Why cant we all just get along That said I do believe that we should take care of our veterans; give em psychiatric care, medical care & help em be productive members of society. I will give a moment of silence but I fail to understand how that helps them or anyone else.

I tried to link an image but had no luck, the business end of it was "escaped" (http%3A%2F%2F etc.). At any rate, put your favorite search engine on "images" and paste in "boy receiving flag".

My father served in the US Army, but thankfully never saw any combat.
He was stationed in South Korea and Central America before returning to the US.
He passed the day after I turned 12 in 2002 at the age of 43.
When word got out at my school, many bullies (including two teachers) saw this as a reason to increase their intimidations against me, so in turn, I was compelled to keep his passing a secret until my senior year of high school (I went to an alternative HS, just to be clear) because I knew I would likely never see most of my old classmates ever again.
BTW, if any of you want to post rebuttals about my dad, feel free to do so in this thread. We are all entitled to freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
