`12 strings lmao.

I can barely play 6.

I used to play the clarinet back in 4th grade, but I sucked and quit band.

Right now, I do not play but I am a pianist. When I have the funds, I will get back to it. I miss it a lot, and have a few things I need to get out of my head.

I play lap steel, guitar, and sing.

I can "fake it" on piano, ukulele. bass guitar, well enough to play a bar gig.

i'm a brass player; specifically, the euphonium.
i have mastered the instrument to the point where i'm first chair in the band i'm in, and we play 1st division, the highest possible for non-professional musicians

would you kindly tell me the difference between a euphonium and a baritone horn?

the difference is small, but notable if you know it.
the most important one is the shape of the tubing; the baritone horn is cylindrical like the trumpet and trombone, therefor having a sharp sound, while the euphonium is conical, like the french horn, giving it a softer, rounder sound.

basically: euphonium = larger french horn; baritone horn = larger trumpet

I wish there was a poll option for multiple instruments. I could fill out all of your instrument categories but one, but mainly I stick to bass, guitar, and keys (piano, synthesizer), melodica and 12 hole ocarina, plus vocals.

I play many instruments, and I tend to learn to play them fast - for example last Wednesday my band was recording in a studio where we live, and they had a theremin there that they let me fire up - it was the first time I had seen or played a theremin - we had already laid down the bass and drum tracks, so me and the drummer were free to goof around a bit - in 15 minutes I was playing along with the songs we were recording, which my bandmates found extremely amusing - the sound was coming into the room we were in from the control room, because the control room door was open because they were just recording the keyboard parts which are direct in.

It was incredibly fun, though. I also got to play a waterphone!

Guitar and bass and to a lesser degree singing/messing around with drums/keyboards. You know, all the standard rock/metal instruments. Only things I've found much success with is my singing and bass though.

the euphonium example therein sounds to me [timbrally and pitch-wise] like a cross between a tenor tuba and a bass trombone. the baritone horns that i sat in front of for many years in the school band, as they were played then by the less-than-expert student musicians, sounded to me reminiscent of sick cows mooing. the sound of those particular baritones seemed to lack a lot of higher harmonics, and was fairly smooth and amorphous. there is a hybriid woodwind/brass instrument called a serpent which to me sounds similar to a baritone horn.

Wow that's crazy. I love contrabass instruments, one of my friends owns a contrabass flute which is made out of pvc piping :o

I used to play drums before and I'm really interested in starting with it again, just have to save up money for it. (willing to pay around 700-1000 dollars for it)

But until then I have planned on getting a MIDI-keyboard or something and make some music in FL Studio or similar, but I've always had this thought that I'm virtuos - the thought of being a multi-instrumental in a band (like Jonny Greenwood) sounds awfully cool.
