So...I have now seen James Bond #22 Casino Royale for the third time. It is AWESOME! And I don't understand people who refuse to see it because he's blond and has blue eyes...James Bond is more than just the color of hair and eyes. I love this movie; I will probably go see it it again. At least once more.

Casino Royale was awesome. :D Even though I'm a tried and true Connery fan.

I definitely give it two thumbs up.

Mmmmm, Eva Green..... XD I'm a sucker for Eva Green. I'll be sure to rent the DVD just because she's in it, and even though I doubt it'll mach her peformance in "The Dreamers," it looks like a better overall film. ("The Dreamers" kind of had a confused plot...but Eva was great in it.)

This isn't the last one; hell, it's a reinvention of the series. Basically relaunching the series, trying to forget about the Brosner era of Bond.

It is an awesome movie! Definitely see it on the big screen if you can because it is worth EVERY SINGLE HARD EARNED PENNY! And it had BETTER not be the last one because it is the one of the best--if not the best--films in the entire franchise, and if the movie guys are smart (i.e. interested in making more money), they will see to it that Daniel Craig plays Bond again. It is awesome. He is awesome. He takes Bond back to the hard core kind of guy--like Connery--and away from Pretty Boy Brosnan. Plus, there aren't any fantastical gadgets, so the story is believable and character driven. Although I will just say that the Poker Game ends with some pretty improbable odds...not that I am by ay means a poker player, but it just seems highly improbable that everyone has such good high hands. But again--GO SEE IT!

Craig is fine since & hes in my League ( he cant drive stick shifts).
Best Bonds:
Dalton
Brosnan
Craig.

ALL got Bloodied, dirty vs Clean Moore.

Brosnan, Craig the worst,
Remember Die another Day torture with Brosnan.
More graphic with Craig.

Nice locales.
Game sequence too Long.
Otherwise Great.

Nice Venetian bldg sinking FX.

Nice TGV scene with Bond & Vesper.

Note that damn silver Aston Martin:

IE in Goldfinger, Thunderball & Fast fwd to Goldeneye 1995, Fast fwd to Casino Royale 2006.

Bet its the Same car.

Like Bonds PPK gun & silencer.

More effective since Moores PPK.

Nice ladies, sets, locales.

Must see Bond.

Vodka martini up thanks.

Dude. Last time I checked, no one was forcing you to watch the movies. If other people enjoy them, then so what? It isn't hurting anyone, and they are thoroughly enjoyable. And speaking of Rocky, they are making another Rocky movie, which I will not be watching in the theatres.

I saw it. I thought it was pretty good, though I like Pierce Brosnan better. My parents on the other hand had mixed feelings. They found it confusing.

You think that this is bad? This is nothing compared to the endless stream of horror sequels, remakes of old horror movies, and Americanized remakes of Asian horror films that came out 3-5 years ago, not to mention the way so many of the "new original properties" are all just rip offs of other slasher/torture horror movies. Every time to go to the movies, I see at least two or three trailers for some new crappy slasher/torture/horror movie. They never stop coming! One could say something similar about the state of the romantic comedy genre. At least the Bond films only come out every 3-5 years, and at least this new Bond movie is supposed to be really good. I haven't read a single bad review of it, and there sure as hell were bad reviews of the other recent ones.

Bond is different than sh***y remakes and endless series. THESE were actually based on books and Casino Royale was the first book (for those who've watched the flic, that's a no-brainer) and it's the last film to be made.

Everyone raise your hands who knew that all these movies were actually books!

::raises hand::

If they keep going with sh***y remakes long after this one, you may start having a point. But up till now, they've just been finishing off the book series.

:P

This will not be the last movie. Remember, it's about the money. If they continue this idea of closely paralleling the books but update everything to the 21st century, these could easily go on for another 40 years. The books are very good, even if a little dated. Watch for them to be republished for a new generation.

That was one of the most confusing movies i've ever seen, although i will admit it was better than the ones with Pierce Brosnan.
