Do you tell people you have AS without a diagnosis?

I've told people I suspect I have it. Had one woman who's worked with other autists claim she could hear it in my voice. I've had two psychologists tell me otherwise, my current LCSW tellsme he sees autistic traits in me. This isn't something I would tell just anyone, based on the stuff I have read here. People are so flippin ignorant it isn't worth mentioning to most; As I lamented in another post, so much for autism awareness" . . .

I haven't told anyone, mainly cause I think people won't understand what Im going on about or that they'll make fun of me for having a weakness
