I need to know why people like cute things soo much, in this warped society...like, when you see innocence. Aren't you scared it'll just flip completely evil at any second? Doesn't this scare you?

Whats the POSSITIVE, likable things about 'cute'? Why do cute things seem to make people soo...happy?

Descuss

Not sure I understand...

A friend told me its that cute things seem 'happy' that she likes them.

Also, she thinks its silly I accociate liking cuteness with supporting violence.

Why do I do that, anyways? Cute and violent...are polar opposets!

Cute images release brain chemicals that lower my stress levels, probably.

Everybody's entitled to their own opinion, though I think I look like a happier version of him. :) :P

Humans are genetically programmed to like cute. This is especially true of the traits common to baby humans and animals. This instinct helps to secure the survival of future generations and thus is either the way we were designed by God to be or the way we evolved to be.

I think it's odd that a fan of Pokemon is asking why cute things are appealing. I mean, don't you love the cute Pokemon and the anime-style of the characters?

PS - I'm not a hater - I used to be a Pokemaniac myself and I think it's cool that you're into it.

Cute can be considered anything to anyone. You may as well ask, "why do you like anything?"
That's the great thing about people, with the amount of diversity, we might as well be individual species.

I think baby animals are cute, even wild baby animals that when they reach maturity, are often quite vicious in their natural habitat, but I still think they're cute. I don't particularly see human babies as cute, I also don't find girls cute who insist on taking photo's of themselves at awkward angles.
I don't find it cute when women demand respect because they play video games and watch notable films and make long lists about why they're perfect.
In fact, I don't find humans cute at all.

I think anything that's kind of childlike that is completely devoid of threat cute :P

Also, laughter. Even in humans!

Because laughter, to me, is essentially a human making this ridiculous, hiccupy noise because they find something amusing and they can't help themselves but make this noise, and it's adorable. :)

My kids weren't cute. They were small, smart, interesting & attractive. I don't trust cute & I'm sure it's overrated.

I like 'cute'. I believe even more so than the average person. Perhaps this is the reason why I can tolerate babies and find little kids adorable, despite their annoying habbits...
