Minneapolis most bike-friendly city in US

Can't help but think how devastating being beaten by the (by American standards) frozen upper midwest city is to Portland.

^ the quote above is probably true; while bikes are seen as a Good Thing in Portland, they're still not most people's main form of travel and it can still be dangerous in both the short term (bad drivers) and long term (smog) to get around by bike in Portland.
