Was it because you ate too much?

I feel healthy other than throwing up just now, like two hours after exercising.

From what I understand you have to wait two-three hours if you're going to do an intense work out so that you give your food time to digest. You use a lot of energy when you work out, so if you're using energy to digest your food - you'd be over working your body to a point of exhaustion which could lead to nausea.

The weird thing is that I ate after working out, not before.

And I am usually not a very nauseous person. I usually only throw up when I have a flu bug, with other cold symptoms. I haven't ever thrown up without these cold symptoms.

I mean I did spend the whole day outside, but I was in the shade, it wasn't too hot, and I do it almost every day of the week. I was working out outside, but didn't have any symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

Could it be from eating too much?

I've never thrown up from eating too much before, but maybe becoming healthier has made my body less tolerable of overeating?

I have a few times-- I do triathlons, and as an athlete in high school/college would push myself to that point. It doesn't matter if I eat before working out (if it's a long workout, I frequently eat during as well)...still happens...especially if it's hot out.

During and after, not many times though... It can happen when I really push myself hard. It can also happen if I don't hydrate enough, or if I overheat, overeat, under eat, under sleep, eat or drink the wrong things for the time, and some days the stomach just isn't happy. I even puked one day at sports rehab after doing leg presses when I was out of shape. Talk about embarrassing... I only had a Pepsi to drink that day though so I suspect I was dehydrated. After I throw up, I usually take a breather, refuel, and get back to working out if I got it in me, but usually at a lower intensity.

Yes, this has happened to me. I have to be careful with both food and liquid (even water) before I work out.

A couple of times after extremely high intensity sprinting and after a very intense workout after a long hiatus from intense working out.

I've puked from pushing myself way too hard on the burpees. It was a hard workout in general but that was the straw that broke the camel's back lol. This was on an empty stomach so it was straight up exertion.

I have after rolling BJJ a time or two. Nothing to do with eating so much as running out of breath and getting gassed -- Doesn't help that I have allergy/asthma/post-nasal drip going on most of the time. Coughing + Sinus Issue + Getting Winded = Barf.

I once urinated blood after running for miles without staying hydrated.
