I meant that anyone is free to enjoy any show. Yes, the creators can have a certain audience in mind, that's only their point of view. I don't relate to the idea of manly or girly shows you described. It seems those shows aren't intended for a gender so much as for people who have to define themselves very rigidly to feel safe.

I couldn't really say anything I watch is aimed at a specific gender, since I watch mainly tennis-oriented programs. I like "ATP Tour Uncovered," stories about the male tennis players' lives.

I'm not sure what geared towards a certain gender means.
I saw a previous poster mention the Good Wife.

I love that show but never thought of it as geared towards Woman.
