I think Spider-Man 2 is still my favourite and my second would either be Spider-Man or The Amazing Spider-Man but I can't decide their both great films though I think it might be The Amazing Spider-Man. Spider-Man 3 was OK, but not that great.

I just saw The Amazing Spider-Man in 3D. It's weird how the story of Spider-Man's "origins" had to be retold already, and it took over half the movie too. :roll:

I think a Spider-Man 4 would have been better with a different actor besides Toby Maguire since a lot of the movie wouldn't have been taken up with retelling the story of how he became the superhero in the first place.

For me, the order is:

1. Spider Man 2

2. Spider Man

3. The Amazing Spider Man

4. Spider Man 3

I think The Amazing Spider Man is better than the trilogy. However, they all have their merits.

Spiderman 2 by far. Doc Ock is the best villain by far and its the best character movie for Peter. Spider-man 1 almost as good but the script not quite as good and they didn't really get the CGI right in this one. Spiderman 2 much better in that regard. The Amazing Spiderman was meh - I don't really know why this franchise needed a reboot . Yeah, it went astray with Spiderman 3 but they could have made a great Spiderman 4 in the same storyline.

I went with Spiderman II. Dr. Octopus was a damn great villain - even though in the comics, he was just a maniac with mechanical arms, not a victim of them.

I've totally changed my mind. I think The Amazing Spider-Man (while it has made a few changes) is the better Spidey movie. Looking back on the Raimi movies they're a little over the top but still enjoyable especially 2.
